What are the Odds?

At Christmas I looked everywhere to find a couple puzzles for Russell. He was complaining that none of the puzzles in the house were meant for his age. I had no luck in finding even one puzzle that I thought he would enjoy building. About a week ago the topic came up again. So, we went to Walmart and actually found a box of animal puzzles. The big box came with 10 puzzles -- 2x1000 pieces, 3x750 pieces, and 5x500 pieces. We decided to start with a 500 piece puzzle of a wolf drinking from a snow covered river. It was a challenging puzzle but together the three of us finished it in just under a week. The boys had a lot of fun and are already fighting over which puzzle to build next. The funniest thing was Caden trying to help. He would pick up a piece hold it up to the puzzle and say "NAW" and then move on to the next piece. It was very cute. Then, yesterday he picked up a piece put it in the puzzle and it actually went into place. He looked at me with this puzzled expression on his face, and then smiled real big and moved on to the next piece. What are the odds that your two year old picks up a piece of a 500 piece puzzle and actually puts it in the correct spot? Something to think about.
