Murphy's Law

I think that Murphy's Law must say something about when I am sick Caden must be sick. I have been sick 3 times since Caden was born, and Caden has been sick 3 times. Funny how each time we have been sick -- together. Oh yeah, and add to that. . . Chris must be gone. Inevitably if I am sick with a sick Caden then Chris is TDY or Deployed. This week he happens to be in Mississippi doing his National Guard thing -- Yipee (loads of sarcasm). Add to me being sick and Caden being sick(and up all night) the fact that it has also been 30 degrees out and rainy. So, I have been breaking all the mommy rules this weekend. I think the boys have watched more TV in the past 3 days then they usually do in 3 months. I have even let them bring their Game Boys (usually a car only toy) in from the car to play. Oh well, I don't guess it can damage them for life. Last year, Russell and I read the book White Fang. So, hoping to control some of the TV watching, we watched White Fang one day. Russell kept saying, "I don't remember, is that the way it was in the book?" LOL.

We are slowly getting back into the school routine, and things are going well. I think sometime this week we will get out the microscope that Russell got from Aunt Judy last Christmas. Yes, it will be the first time we have used it. We have had good intentions to use it, but with the move and all the travelling etc. . . it has just not found its way out of the box yet. Now it is out of the box and sitting next to the computer so that I remember to bring it out and use it. Of course with the current Science topic being Space I guess a telescope would be more appropriate, but we don't have one of those.
