Happy Birthday Caden

Ok it is a little late to be posting it,but Friday was Cadens birthday. He is now three years old. For lunch on Friday we went to Chuck E Cheese. It is Caden's favorite place to go, and if we go on a weekday during lunch (while all the other kids are in school), it is actually fun and enjoyable. Our friends Beth, Kenneth, and Toni came with us. We all ate lots of pizza and played games for about 2 hours. Kenneth and Toni even gave Caden their tickets for his birthday. He cashed in his tickets for a hot wheels motorcycle and a bag of cotton candy that he shared with everyone. He had a really good time. For his birthday from mommy he got Mr Potato Head and a couple of potato outfits. Then, on Saturday our friends Sharon and Phil and their kids were back from Disney so we all got together again for Cake and ice cream.

After Cake and Ice Cream I took the kids out to run. There are five kids ages 8-13 and me running now. It is pretty fun. We are managing to get in 3 runs a week. I think it will be difficult with the holidays -- especially since my crew and I will be out of town most of December. Hopefully we will be able to get back on track quickly in January. Most of the kids are ready to try running 3 miles. Of course this week I could not run with them since I threw my back out on Monday and was having a hard time moving much less walking or running. By Saturday I had recovered enough that I was able to walk with the rest of the adults while the kids did their run around our neighborhood. After running Beth and her family had to go home because they had company coming in from out of town. Sharon and Phil and kids stayed to have dinner. It was a good time for everyone.

I'm so excited because Chris is coming home early from work. He will be home tomorrow morning and the kids don't know. They are expecting not to see him until Wednesday at Grandmas. I cant wait to surprise them tomorrow.
