Dr Duck

We finally found a doctor. For those of you who haven't heard, Olivia's first trip to the doctor was awful. I picked a doctor out of the phone book. They had a nice add and the receptionist who made my appointment was really nice. Well, when we got there we found out the only nice person was the receptionist. In 12 years of putting up with Air Force doctors, I have never been treated so rudely and especially not by a pediatrician. Pediatricians are usually the nicest people. Needless to say I decided that I was no longer in the AF and since I was paying for the doctors services and actually had a choice -- I would choose not to be treated poorly.

So, the search for another pediatrician began. We decided to look in Winchester VA since we have heard nothing good about the medical services in our immediate area. As a matter of fact, we have heard from 3 separate unrelated individuals that they "would not take their dog" to the local emergency room. Most of the people I know from around here take all their emergencies to Winchester (a 45 minute drive). I found a doctor that sounded promising, and this time I was right. Dr Duck is a family practice doctor. He and his entire staff were wonderful yesterday. I am so glad to have found him.

At Olivia's appointment we found that she has grown 1 inch (21 inches now), and is already up to 9 pounds. I new she looked like she had really been filling out but I guess 9 pounds kinda surprised me.

I'm so glad you found someone good. That last one was a real loser. Wow--9 pounds! What do you have in that milk of yours?! : )
