Well our time with our cousins has come to an end. For a little while anyways. Jacob was an awesome house guest and fit right in the whole time he was here. He even earned $10 helping Zeke shovel the 4 feet of snow off our back porch. Thursday, my sister-in-law Kristi, came with the rest of the boys. They stayed until this morning and then headed back to Ohio. We had a lot of fun. Of course they had to adjust to the fact that Aunt Johanna requires everyone to use the SAME CUP ALL DAY LONG. LOL. On Friday we took them to Chuck-E-Cheese. Something we only do during the day on School days (otherwise I would go insane with the number of rude children there -- oh yeah and the noise). After Lunch and games, we took them to see the movie Lightening Thief. It turned out to be a really great movie, and now Zeke wants to study Greek Mythology. All of the kids really liked it except Olivia who fell asleep (as planned) withing minutes of it starting and actually slept until the last 10 minutes. Caden told me he didn't like Hades -- I think that is a good thing. That night after all the kids were in bed, I had a friend come sit with them so Kristi and I could go to half price appetizers at Applebees from 9-11. It was a great time.
Saturday we took the kids to the Amish market and looked around and bought a few things I needed and then picked up Chris watch at the Jeweler. Unfortunately the older boys were not having a very good behavior day. It seems that although we thought they were asleep they stayed up well past ten after we left Friday. It was OBVIOUS they needed rest. So instead of getting ice-cream like we planned we all went straight home and split everyone up to play and burn off some energy. Around bed time the big boys sat down and watched the old Alice in Wonderland movie. Zeke really liked it. Everyone was in bed asleep early and Kristi and I got to go through the "bucket of pictures" ROFL. There were some good ones. Many of those pictures just may show up as my face-book profile picture one day. We laughed really hard and talked until late and watched some Olympics. It was a good time.
The only thing missing from this weekend was Chris. He was in Florida doing work on our house there. I must say he got A LOT done, and was very thrifty. He finished more than we planned for this trip, and at half the cost. YEA. I hope this is a good sign of things to come as we prepare to put the house on the market next month. Now Chris is on his way to California and everyone here is anxiously waiting for him to come home next weekend.
