Well, I am another year older thanks to the arrival of November 1st. It was a rather uneventful day of homeschool and taking care of the house. Chris was up early to take my car to be serviced and then off to work. When Chris got home we had a family dinner at Outback Steakhouse and then ate some icecream cake ( I'm not really a plain cake kinda person )that he had brought home for me. I had also made a cake during the day -- A necessity since Russell cannot have chocolate. We all enjoyed the cake and mommy got a year older (34 to be exact).
The boys had fun the night before dressing up and going out for trick-or-treat. We always go out -- mostly because the boys love to dress up. We only go for an hour and that is more than enough candy and everyone is tired of walking by then. Besides, they don't really eat much candy, and Russell can't have any of the chocolate, so we end up throwing out half the candy every year or sending it to the office. It really is all about dressing up and painting/carving pumpkins. We finally went through their candy last night and none of them have even had a piece yet -- the only one asking for candy is Caden. He got his mothers sweet tooth - and how. He calls it DEE. When we were out on Halloween his bag got to be bigger than him but he wouldn't let any of us help him for fear that we might take some of his DEE. It was so cute to watch him holding his little bag with both hands and running up to each door. He had a really good time. Unfortunately we forgot our camera and got no pictures this year -- Oh well.
The weather is starting to get colder around here. I think Zeke wakes up every morning hoping that there will be snow on the ground. For now they are just impressed with the frost on the ground each morning, and the fact that you can "even see the dogs breath" LOL.
This week is going to be a very busy football week for us. We have the Banquet tonight and then a make-up game for Russell's team tomorrow night and a make-up game for Zeke's team on Wednesday night. The funny thing is they were trying to schedule the make-up games so that all the pee-wee players would get to play one night game under the lights. They thought this was a big deal cool thing. Meanwhile I am thinking I would rather have my pee-wee player at home, fed, bathed and getting into bed at that time of night. Apparently other parents are not as concerned with these things as I am. I guess I thought they would be more concerned in the middle of a school week. At least mine are homeschooled and can sleep until they catch up from going to bed late.

Happy birthday!! I didn't realize your birthday was so close to Caleb's! You and Amy are both almost a whole year younger than me! (Her birthday is Nov. 21 and she'll be 34 too.) I'll turn 35 on Feb. 7! Gosh, I feel so old! I totally agree with you about the plian cake thing. I am not really a cake person at all. I'd rather have brownies, cookies, well about anything else! Ice cream cakes are a good compromise though. Much more preferable.
So what did the boys dress up as? I'm sure Caden was adorable. Caleb can't have any candy either, which another reason why we just don't bother with the whole thing. I can see Anna being jsut like Caden with candy though--she definitely has my sweet tooth, that's for sure!
