This weekend Chris came home early so we could get some things done around the house, and boy did we. I am so tired. My whole body aches. We moved about 15 yards of dirt (a lot of dirt), laid 2 pallets of sod, bought and planted 2 trees, 4 bushes, and 20 other flower bed plants. We also mowed the lawn, pulled weeds, cut down some more of a tree that we are trying not to kill completely, cleaned the garage, got the RV back, started tearing down the old outdoor dog kennels that we no longer use, and that was just the outside stuff. Inside, we put in two new tub faucet and shower sets, one sink faucet, finished painting the laundry room, laid most of the tile in the laundry room, put in three new light fixtures, and replaced four outlets and two light switches. The house is really starting to look nice. I believe I might actually be able to
finish in time to have the realtor out this Friday to list the house. I am excited. Oh yeah, we actually bought the first of the packing boxes too.
The older boys were supposed to go home with their father Friday afternoon but somehow he forgot that he was singing in the choir at his church and that they had a Friday night service, so he was not able to pick them up until Saturday. We were excited because it gave us an extra day with them in a weekend cut short with all the work we had to do. We ordered pizza and watched Charlotte's Web -- which by the way if you haven't seen it -- was very funny/cute. The boys did really great helping out with the jobs and with Caden when they were here this weekend.
Beyond that Caden tolerated it the best he could. One thing he is not happy about lately, Daddy leaving. He is becoming very attached to his daddy because he has seen him so much this month. I thought I was going to loose some hearing from the screaming in the car at the airport. After he threw his cup and his pacifier and screamed for about 10 minutes -- everything seemed to settle down. WHEW!
