An interesting question, since we found this year in Science that there are actually some animals and insects that do not drink. Instead, these animals get the water they need to survive from vegetation they eat. This was the question I was asked by Ezekiel this afternoon. It seems there was a bit of Bee experimenting going on out in the yard. They took a few containers out and were catching bees trying to see if they would drink water put in with them. Then they were picking flowers and trying to see if the bee would get the pollen from a flower put in the "cage" with them. They wanted to watch the bees. I guess at one point they had two bees in the same container, because I heard " These two must not be from the same hive because they don't like each other. " They let those bees out so they wouldn't kill each other. The great bee investigation actually kept all of the boys entertained for nearly an hour.
Update on the frog eggs. We waited 3 days and nothing happened. Oh well not tadpoles or baby toads. I am Not to terribly upset about this. LOL. The truth is, we have no idea how long the eggs were in the other tank at too cool a temperature, before I found them.
