A New Bible for Caden

After being here for almost 2 years I finally reached a level of complete dissatisfaction with the church we had chosen to attend. So, even thought Chris is in Afghanistan, I decided to try a church that was recommended to me last spring. It only took one week for me to feel completely at home. I am comfortable with the people, the pastors preaching is challenging and the kids programs are awesome. We have now been 3 weeks. On Caden's second week they gave him a Puggle T-shirt for the Awana 3 year old program. He was so excited he wore it to bed, around the house the next day and tried to wear it to Church on Sunday. I had a time trying to convince him it was only for Wednesday night church. I was amazed, because every church I have ever been to expects you to pay for your Awana shirts and books, but nothing has been asked of me yet. He is so excited to go to church now -- something he never was before (especially since the other church offered no weekday programs for kids Cadens' age). Then, this morning Caden came running out of Sunday school all excited because he had a brand new Bible "just like Russell". His Sunday School teacher made him a little quilted bag and bought him a Bible. Apparently she does it for all the new kids in her class. What a wonderful person.

It is so nice to finally start to feel like part of a church home, after two years of struggle.

Wow, that is awesome! I am so impressed about the Bible and Bible cover! It makes such a difference when the kids are excited about going.

It's funny--we had been going to our old church for a little over 2 years when we made the switch too. And the church we're at now is by far the best church we have EVER been in. I hope it's the same for you all!
